What about receiving messages from smart phones?
I am interested in sending and receiving messages from smart phones to imessages on desktop pc. I'm sure I'm missing something in my setup. Thanks for the help.

You can do that between an iDevice and a Mac, but iMessage is only available for Mac OS, it does not work on a PC.
